Today's Daily Light for APRIL 3

MORNING

Beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness.—II PET. 3:8,9.

My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, . . . so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall acomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all. O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

Isa. 55:8-11.Rom. 11:32,33.

EVENING

Ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning.—AMOS 4:11.

The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us
shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?— We had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us.—The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.—Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men.

Be instant in season, out of season.—Others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire. Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.—Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Isa 33:14. -II Cor. 1:9,10. -Rom. 6:23.Heb. 10:31. -II Cor. 5:11.II Tim. 4:2. -Jude 23.Zech. 4:6. -I Tim. 2:4.

Today's Daily Light for APRIL 2

MORNING

If ye do return unto the Lord with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the Lord, and serve him only.—I SAM. 7:3.

Little children, keep yourselves from idols.—Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.—Ye cannot serve God and Mammon.

Thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.—Serve him with a perfect heart with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts.

Behold, thou desireth truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.—Man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.—Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

I John 5:21. -II Cor. 6:17,18. -Matt. 6:24.Exo. 34:14. -I Chr. 28:9.Psa. 51:6. -I Sam. 16:7. -I John 3:21.

When the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?—LUKE 18:8.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.—The Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith.

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth and shall be turned unto fables.

Of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.—Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching.— Looking for that blessed hope, … the glorious appearing of the great God, and our Saviour Jesus Christ,

John 1:11. -I Tim. 4:1.II Tim. 4:2-4.Mark 13:32,33. -Luke 12:37. -Tit. 2:13.

Today's Daily Light for JANUARY 24

MORNING (If the date is wrong, refresh this page by Clicking Here!)

The Lord is at hand.—PHI. 4:5.

The Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.—He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly; Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.—Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts; for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

I Thes. 4:16-18. -Rev. 22:20.II Pet. 3:14.I Thes. 5:22-24.Jas. 5:8.

EVENING

The choice vine.—GEN. 49:11.

My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill: and he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, . . . and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.—Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me.

The works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, . . . envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: . . . but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Abide in me, and I in you . . . Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Isa. 5:1,2. -Jer. 2:21.Gal. 5:19,21-23.John 15:1,2,4,8.

Today's Light for JANUARY 18

Do you have a copy of Pastor Jim's book, For His Glory: A Kaleidoscope of Wisdom? Take a moment and check it out and see what others are saying.

MORNING

Him that was to come.—ROM. 5:14.

Jesus . . . made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, . . . that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.—One died for all.—As by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening
spirit.—That was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.—God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him.—God . . . hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person.—Thou hast given him power over all flesh.

The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the
earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

Heb. 2:9. -II Cor. 5:14. -Rom. 5:19.I Cor. 15:45. -I Cor. 15:46. -Gen. 1:26,27. -Heb. 1:1-3. -John 17:2.I Cor. 15:47,48.

EVENING

Things which shall be hereafter.—REV. 1:19.

As it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit.—The Spirit of truth . . . will shew you things to come. Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

I Cor. 2:9,10. -John 16:13.Rev. 1:7.I Thes. 4:13,14,16,17.
